The scholarships, valued at VND50 million in total, were granted to five students to support them VND5 million a year each in their last two years at university.

“It is a display of PepsiCo Vietnam’s social responsibility,” said Professor Tran Van Quang, principle of Tay Do University at the scholarship award ceremony.

Since the 2008-2009 school-year, PepsiCo Vietnam has partnered with STF in the long-term scholarship program by providing VND550 million. The program will end 2010-2011.

This is the first time students in the Mekong Delta have received the scholarships. Students in HCMC, Hanoi and Danang have already benefited from the support.
